Actually, just played the level again and the "hedge" or "weeds" don't disappear until you make 5 matches beside them!! What the heck!

My level 1002 has squares with hedges (?) that you have to make matches beside to get rid of it. It takes at least 3 matches to clear it. I'm finding it impossible. The ONLY way I got thru it was to keep buying more moves. Had to purchase more moves 5 or 6 times (never done that before). Hoping it was just that level. Well, level 1003 is the same thing & I will NOT buy more moves to finish it. Anyone have any suggestions or dealing with the same thing?? When I look at videos on how to complete the level, it shows different setups than what I am seeing. (??) Help me !!
