Is it possible that a team can have more than 15 members and they take turns playing (joining/leaving)?

This week there is another team at the top of the draw with 1000s of extra points in the team totals.
I contacted Wooga, below is their reply. I don't believe their explanation can account for a 20k point discrepancy.

"Players that join a team during an active week will be able to contribute to the league points of that team right away, but will not be able to compete in competitions unless they are in the club at the time of matchmaking.

When the scores do not add up, that is often explained by the fact that players have left the team or were expelled from the team. When they leave, their points remain with the team. In the meantime new players join the team and they also start earning points. Thus, when adding the points of the players that left, the scores come out higher than that of the players combined.

There is a delay of at least 24 hours in displaying the names of players that newly joined a team. It's also possible that a player left to free up a spot to let a temporary player in, then the temporary player left again to let the original player back in. Thus, although we understand it seems unfair, we are aware of these techniques that teams use to increase their league points.

In addition to that, scores are not updated in real time and there is always a chance that there is a server delay to display the updated scores."

Hi, not sure if the question of league scoring has been brought up before. Specifically, the TOTAL team score mismatches the sum of individual scores by 20k points or more by week's end. The member turnaround of these teams is phenomenal, ranges between 8 to 15 during each day of the league week. Last week we had 2 teams in our draw that exhibited this anomaly and gained their Sherlock, whereas 2 other teams with clean scoring (and albeit very high) failed to advance. Any insight into this? Is there an advantage in leavung/rejoining a club multiple times to gain extra points? Is there a loophole in the team scoring logic?
