Hint 1. For starters, just ignore the stamps in the middle of the board and focus on the frozen blocks first. Hint 2. For the first couple words, just play your words and don't let new letters slide into the board. Often, the new letters that slide in will be those "blocks" (hand icon), and they just screw everything up. Anyway, that's about it. Level 317 really isn't that difficult if you follow these guidelines! Good luck!

Level 298 is pretty tough. The trick of course, is figuring out how to clear those two isolated tiles on the far right. Here's what worked for me. 1) You'll need to create Horizontal zappers on the left that are aligned with the two "O" zappers in the middle section. 2) Each "O" zapper will knock out one of the "blocks" (hand icon). 3) Now, you'll need to form a word to free up a zapper in the left section. If necessary, rotate your board so that the zapper doesn't fall OUT of alignment with the two tiles on the far right. 4) Rotate the board so that the "block" in the middle section drops down, and you have a clear shot at the tile on the far right. If you waste turns knocking out the "blocks", you'll never finish this level. 5) You'll need to repeat these steps for the other "O" zapper. Good luck! (It's pretty difficult to explain in words how to attack this board. Be sure to watch the video!)

Level 281 is fairly straightforward if you notice that the frozen tile in the center is a zapper that will wipe out both timed letters in the corners. Also, it helps to know that the two frozen tiles in the corners are also zappers that can be used to unfreeze the center tile. Anyway, just focus on unfreezing one of the frozen zappers in the corners and everything will fall into place.

The first goal is to eliminate those two timed letters on the sides. This is most easily accomplished by forming words in the middle of the board, and having the timed letters simply drop into the field of play. (This is far easier than trying to work your way past all the STOPS). Beyond that, it's simply a matter of forming the longest words possible. Avoid unfreezing additional timed blocks at first. But once you're down to about 4 or 5 turns, it won't really matter any more. You'll end up finishing the level before the timed letters run out of time!

ANCIENT PAGODA. Note that the key letters N, N, C, D, P and G are all frozen AND isolated on the edges. You only have 15 moves, so plan carefully. 1. Be sure to rotate the board so that hard-to-use letters fall _away_ from the frozen letters you need. 2. Try to unfreeze the two N's at the top of the board using only 2 turns. (You'll need to find words that touch both sides of the board. 3. Using a horizontal zapper to clear 2 key letters at once is a plus. 4. Take your time. This isn't a race. You'll need to plan and then re-plan as the board changes. With any luck, you'll get through this level in just a few turns!

The trick to getting past this level is really just to ROTATE the board so that the blocks (funky yellow/brown stop signs with the HAND icon) fall OUT of that corner as words get created. If you leave the board unrotated with all the blocks in the lower left corner, I don't think there are enough turns to eliminate all those blocks even if you get the perfect letters. This video shows how you can eliminate several blocks at a time, just by having gravity take over and having the blocks replaced by usable letters.

First of all, you have to get rid of those 4 "timed" letters. If you attempt to get rid of them one at a time, you'll run out of time. However, we're given two zappers that conveniently point at ALL four timed letters. So, the trick to this level is creating a zapper right in the middle of the board that points at BOTH of the existing zappers (when the board is turned sideways, of course). If you're lucky, you can create this zapper on your THIRD turn. After eliminating these four timed letters, it's just a matter of working your way through the board to collect the rest of the stamps. Sounds simple, eh?

ANCIENT AQUEDUCT. You'll need the frozen Q and I in the middle of the board to solve the puzzle. But how do you unfreeze both the Q and I? The trick is to use two zappers back-to-back. (If you DON'T use them back to back, the letters in the middle of the board will re-freeze on you!) So, go ahead and create two zappers, and line one up on the Q, and line the other one up on the I. In theory, I guess you could use diagonal zappers, but for me, it always seem easier to use vertical and horizontal zappers for this task. Good luck!

The main difficulty with this level is that there are "blocks" everywhere! The strategy I employed was to "waste" a few moves forming 4-5 letter words where I could --- causing the blocks to drop OUT of the areas where I wanted to move the token. Eventually, I was able to navigate the token all the way to the bus in a fairly efficient manner, and finished with 1 move remaining. Good luck! (Sorry, for some reason the screen doesn't auto-rotate when I rotated my iPad. Not sure why that happened.)

In short, it'll take 2 zaps to break the token out of the stone enclosure, and then 2 more zaps to get the token to the bus. Hopefully by now, you know how to create vertical and horizontal zappers (instead of diagonal zappers). If you're lucky enough, you'll be able to use 2 vertical zappers to free the token. In my case, my second zapper was a horizontal zapper, so it took an extra turn to free the token. Once the token falls into the second enclosure, you'll want to line it up with the bus below. That way, when you use the zapper to clear a path to the bus, the token will fall right in. Good luck!

@Amy Pupino Carbonelli: If you're playing on the desktop, you have those curved arrows on the right and left sides of the screen which allow you to rotate the screen! It's hard to imagine you've gotten all the way to Level 107 without ever rotating the screen! :-)

Hints: Don't waste time creating words in the upper and lower trays where the "timed letters" first appear. For example, in this video, the word DASH just jumps out at you and it might be tempting to play that word. But if you do that, you're just wasting a turn. Instead, play words in the center of the board and let the "timed letters" drop into the center region. You'll need to rotate your board a few times to make sure all 10 letters drop into the center where they can be played. Other than that, there's really no trick to getting past this level. Just play big long words if you can!

As you're creating words by dragging your finger across the board, watch the upper part of the screen for the FLASHING ZAPPER. This tells you a zapper is being created, and also the type of zapper (diagonal, horizontal, etc.) What KIND of zapper are you creating? The last 2 letters in each word you create determine the type of zapper. More specifically, if the last 2 letters are right NEXT to each other, you'll create a horizontal or vertical zapper. If the last 2 letters are diagonal from each other, you'll create a diagonal zapper.

Well, that was kind of anti-climactic. Usually, with online games, the last level is the toughest, right? This is where you have to kill the big alien monster or defeat the dragon and rescue the princess... In my opinion, Level 243 would've been a good way to finish this game. That level was pretty tough. Anyway, I don't know if there's really any trick to getting past Level 245. Just play and have fun. Good luck, everyone!

First of all, Cheri was able to get through this level in 8 MOVES? That's pretty amazing. That being said, I gotta give credit to the evil genius who designed Level 243. The first trick is to clear all the ice in the CENTER of the board (while ignoring the 4 isolated blocks). You need to clear all the center ice in your first 3 moves. It can be done _fairly_ easily. This causes the 4 isolated blocks to freeze over before their timers run down, allowing you to use all 10 moves to collect your 55 tiles. The second trick is to collect 2 or 3 zappers and use them at once to collect as many tiles as you can. Good luck!

Don Nguyen commented on Words on Tour Level 227 tips and strategies

Level 227 is probably one of the two most challenging levels in this entire game. You'll find that there are 3 parts to this level. The first part is breaking the token out of its icy prison. You'll need to form a number of words adjacent to the icy blocks and then also get some help from zappers in order to get the token out of its starting position. Second, you'll need to navigate the token all the way to the other end of the puzzle as quickly as possible. This can be accomplished in just a few moves using one or two zappers. Finally, you have to get the token into the bus. Just remember, at this point, you DON'T want to lead with the token. You'll want to lead with a few letters so you can break down the ice. Heck, I don't know. Maybe watching the video will help you.

This level requires some planning because of the "freezing block syndrome". I'm sure you'll be able to free the token from the frozen prison cell easily enough --- but getting it to the bus requires some planning. I like to put the zapper on the line immediately below the token. In fact, you'll need to line up the zapper and the token directly beneath the row next to the bus that you plan to zap. After using the zapper, you'll have exactly one turn to drop the token into the bus. If you don't do it in that one turn, your path to the bus freezes up again. Good luck!

I followed Patricia's hint below and it seems to work. For whatever reason, this level is easier to solve when you turn the board upside down to start with. (Maybe it's because we're in Australia). Those 5 "timed" letters can be pretty difficult to get rid of, too. Personally, I focused on the two C's first because those are the most difficult to form words with. If you're lucky, you can line up a zapper to eliminate 2 or more of the time letters, but's it not a necessity. Good luck!

So, you think 18 moves isn't enough to get the token to the bus? Can you imagine if they gave you just 10 moves? Anyway, the key to this level is knowing all the valid 2-letter WWF/Scrabble words. If you don't know them, do a Google search! Hint: Try to keep the token as close to the "top rail" as you can. This will be the shortest path between the starting position and the final position! Also, plan your final moves carefully. You may get the token really close to the bus with 5 moves to go, but if the tiles aren't oriented in the right direction, there will be no way to get the token all the way to the bus. Good luck!

On this level, the token has to travel in a clockwide direction through all 4 of the 9-letter blocks in order to arrive at the bus. The trick, if there is one, is to NOT let the zappers get in your way. If you go with the shortest path, the token really only needs to move 6 spaces in order to get to the bus. Hint: Try to put the zappers in locations where they won't affect the path of the token.

This level is fairly straightforward. The only hint I can provide (if any) is to use vertical zappers strategically to facilitate the journey to the bus. For example, in this video, you'll see where i can play the word GAPES, but that creates a horizontal zapper. Instead, I play the shorter word GAPE to create the vertical zapper that I want.

Trust me, you'll feel a lot better about yourself if you figure this one out on your own and DON'T watch the video! Note that the letters underneath the token are always the same. They spell C-A-T in one direction and D-O-G in the other direction. So, just sit and analyze this board for a minute. HINT: You'll need to "zap" (or remove one letter) under the token. Then, you'll need to create a vertical zapper underneath the token so you can clear a path to the bus. Can you figure it out? (Only watch the video as a last resort!)

This level is fairly easy once you know what approach to take. In short, strategic use of two zappers will take the token all the way to the bus. You'll either want to go down the left side of the board and then all the way across the bottom to the bus ... OR across the top and then down the right side. Take a look at the board before you begin and choose the side with the better letters. The mistake most people make when first attempting this puzzle is to try to navigate across the middle of the board. It becomes virtually impossible to form words in the middle of the board once the "directional letters" get all jumbled in the middle.

The token needs to go straight down the middle of the board. So, the FIRST step is to break up the two blocks that are visible when the game starts. Your first two words will need to hit BOTH blocks. With your third word, form a vertical zapper. You'll need to create LONG words (4 or 5 characters) to get through this board. So take your time, and avoid the short 3-letter words. In some instances, you'll be able to make a longer word, but this creates a diagonal or horizontal zapper. Avoid those words. You only want vertical zappers on this board.

Once again, you have a chance to use the TWO-zapper technique to get past a level. A double zapper is a lot more powerful than a SINGLE zapper. If you're lucky enough, you might be able to get through this level without using the multi-zapper technique, but using TWO or more zappers together makes it a lot easier. Use the zappers to clear as much of the board as you can. Then use your remaining moves to collect the remaining stamps. In general, try to clear the edges first, and try not to leave any stragglers behind. It's a lot tougher to collect the stamps when they're spread out all over the board. (P.S. I got a little lucky at the end of this level. I ended up stuck with a "T" surrounded by a bunch of consonants. Luckily for me, "TSK" is a valid Scrabble/WWF word!)
