By the way Amy, the pyramid is a fantastic source of income once you finish the quests and begin to upgrade it. Don't give up - it's well worth it.

Actually... no. That is a bug in the program that they said they would fix. The blocks do not come from meeting people at the pier. They are randomly available to purchase in the Wondershop whenever the Pyramid is ready for upgrading. When the Pyramid is in the process of an upgrade the blocks do not show up in the Wondershop. I can usually pick up 1-2 blocks a day checking each refresh of the Shop, 6 times a day.

Thanks, but I was talking about the blocks that are used to upgrade the pyramid after you have it built. It turned out that there was a bug in the program (5.4.x) that didn't make them available after the pyramid was complete. After I brought this to Game Insight's attention they fixed the bug and blocks are now sold at the Wondershop.

Oh yeah... the only building that I have that gives more profit than the holiday buildings: Tropique Photo Studio, which at level 5 gives $142 per minute.

I've been able to get my holiday buildings up to level 2 just with free items that each requires, but then I have also taken each to level 3 with gems because their profit is so great at level 3. If you assume that you hold an event in each building, here are some comparisons:

These figures are for the profit of the building plus its event PER MINUTE:
    - Red Dragon Hotel (St. Patrick's Day) - $122
    - Happy Santa Hotel (Xmas) - $120
    - Snow Castle (New Years) - $116
    - Fairytale Castle (Valentines) - $114
    - Easter Miracle Hotel - $114

    - Wild West Hotel (non-holiday,950 gems) - $103
    - Bathyscape (non-holiday, 750 gems) - $89
    - Villa (non-holiday, 650 gems) - $80
    - Four Aces Casino (non-holiday, 1.3m) - $72
    - Island Hotel (non-holiday, 40 gems) - $72
    - Bavarian Inn - $48
    - Deluxe Hotel - $47

The list isn't complete, but is enough to give you an idea for how much more profitable the holiday prizes are compared to regular buildings. WELL WORTH THE EXTRA EFFORT!

    Cool Ole.
One more hint I forgot to mention and wished I hadn't forgotten about while I was playing...
Since gathering tokens is all about your energy - watch out if you are close to leveling up to a new level. Remember that when you do level up your energy tank is filled up to the top again. If you see you are close to getting a new level in the game, use your energy FIRST... THEN gather income from hotels and buildings - Since gathering income also gives you experience points, you might level up as you do so.

I hadn't used my energy yet and used a horseshoe to gather all my income and leveled up in doing so. I could have had 56 energy to spend all at once instead of wasting 28 (yeah, I paid for the extra 3 energy as a permanent boost - which really helps too by the way).

    Good luck

No don't waste gems refreshing the wondershop. Just be patient. They eventually show up, but slowly.

Mindy Rosenblatt commented on Paradise Island 2: Resort Sim: how to collect iron keys...

Iron keys come from the Treasure Hunter's House with the blue roof. Sometimes you also win speed-up helmets or gems. Click the building then click the middle button below it that says boxes. You can do this every 3 hours and the button will show you when the next set of boxes will be ready to open.

If you don't mind spending a little money, it's great to buy the additional box they try to sell you. If you do you always get to open TWO boxes every 3 hours. Otherwise you get one box each time.

I assume you mean the holiday tasks (since you're writing during the Easter event). If so - yes it is. You can get all the big hotel prizes without spending any money. You just have to be fanatical about gathering the tokens (e.g. easter eggs) every chance you get. Set a timer every 25x3=75 minutes and come gather. If you wake up in the night, gather all you can. Stay on it and it's possible. And the holiday hotels are worth it - they are huge profit centers.

Also, be smart about what you gather when there are choices. Here are some hints.
    - Never trade your tokens for speed-up helmets unless you are told to in the task legend. It is a waste of tokens.
In the Easter event there were three ways to get tokens:
    a) get one easter egg from one tourist - one-to-one exchange rate
    b) trade 15 energies for random eggs.
    c) trade 100 eggs for random eggs.

Method c was the only way to get the gold eggs. It also offered some blue eggs, but it was relatively expensive as far as energy usage. Use that method first and only until you have gotten all the gold eggs you need and then don't use that method any more.

Method b was great for getting the blue eggs. Sometimes you got more than 15 total eggs, sometimes less. Use this method second and only until you have gotten all the blue eggs you need and then don't use that method any more.

Method a should be used after you have all the gold and blue eggs you need. Pound it until you can upgrade the intro building and win the prize. Then keep pounding it because upgrading the holiday prize hotels to level 3 is awesome, and if you want to gem up to that level it helps to have as many eggs gathered in advance as you can.

    Good luck!

Thanks so much for the tip. Right you are! The hint said I had to wait until I cleared more land to because I had no trees on my current area, or wait for new ones to grow. But I too found yellow parrots in the cloudy area. They are really beautiful too, btw.
