I noticed after you plug up the slime maker, there is a delay letting you collect more gems while it's closed.
Try to plug up the slime maker, collect oval gems & so on. The timing has to be so accurate it's frustrating- I got 20 out of 21 ggggggrrrrrrr!!!!!

Stuck on Chinese New Year Howie's Quest Level 13 Gift of Slime

No matter what I do (increased Howie to level 20 & 850 power) I can't collect ALL oval gems. :(

Begin by wiping out top slime more than the bottom

The 1st photo from the last time level 10 completed shows how I used to start & this time it worked out.
But it was much easier reversing the yellow- top instead of bottom.

I just played level 10 again & forgot to mention to try to collect the blue drops as much as possible to make vertical arrows. This will help when you don't have a match for the oval gems.

Just keep plugging away & eventually it falls into place.
IF possible, collect the oval gems while wiping out the slime. But priority is the gems but don't let the top slimes seal up the top.

I completed the level with Howie at level 19 & 800 power.
If you have a lower level/ power keep playing other levels / blimp to collect meteorites to bump them up.
Something I noticed, the less I pay attention to the game- like playing half asleep, the better I do lol

Look at the beginning of each level video posted by Gamers Unite (this website) for tools gnomes used each level. used. Also on YouTube "anonim antoni" posted more level videos - holiday calendar, too.

On the harder levels, keep playing the levels until they get easier, which does happen (someone below posted playing 8 times in a row makes it easier- not sure if applies to just a certain level / quest / not).
You don't have to purchase anything / gnomes to get through the calendar.

I'm presently stuck on Chinese New Year Howie's Quest level 13 :( That's HARD

You really just have to keep playing until you get the right combinations. For level 12, collect as many blue gems to get horizontal blue arrows. Then use it to release the yellow meteorites from the crates- probably only way.

If you get enough blue to get a 3rd arrow, you can hit the slime producing mouth to get more time without more slime.
