I seem to be having trouble posting. Anyways, here's what my game looks like after 3 years. Still waiting for an update that allows me to build the third pyramid.

Yeah, giants take 3X the food of humans. If you upgrade from yeti it goes from 2X to 3X. You should get 25 DNA from a probe, though. I haven't checked in a long while because I don't probe much.

No, the palace doesn't house any workers. If you have higher level workers the count often gets skewed. Try this: While watching the counter, start clicking on artifacts. If your worker count was skewed what you will notice is that with each artifact you click, the number of workers changes. It's a glitch that I told them about a long time ago, but they never fixed.

Yes, research is only one key to unlocking items and skills in the game. Usually there is a story element needed to complete the unlocking. I don't remember the exact event that requires glyphs, but there is one. Just a tip: use the gold sieves if you can do the 4 hour harvest time. The yield is much higher than the riddle of gold. If you do the glyphs correctly it works like a breeder reactor and produces much more gold. Basically, gold sieves to riddle of iridium to riddle of xenon then back to gold sieves. It usually nets me 3-4 million gold, 2K iridium, and 700-800 xenon per day.

Yeah, there are a lot of glitches in the game. You might want to build more crucibles. With 75 crucibles stocked with giants it still took me over 2 days to upgrade to a mega house. Since I'm impatient I tended to spend an addition 100 iridium or so to upgrade immediately. Everything else I can build instantly with 75 crucibles. It also keeps my workers from roaming around since they don't have a pyramid to work on. While I'm waiting around I've just set some arbitrary goals. So far I've gotten 300 million DNA, 300K iridium, and 30 million PD. I'm working on 600 million gold and 100K xenon.

I don't think you'll be able to build mega houses until there is an actual story line request for them. I think you have to upgrade 5 or 10 large houses to mega houses. I was bored so I did 90. It costs 475K and 750 xenon per house. It improves your yield per house but slows the collection rate, so it's pretty much a wash. With obelisks of Aswan it takes about 17-20 minutes for my mega house to produce. It could be faster if you optimize the placement of the obelisks. I don't because I like the way my town looks now..

I seem to remember there are a few glitches when assigning workers to mines. Did you try emptying all the workers from the mines and then assigning yeti to them?

Why would I want a cheat code? The 'fun' of this type of game is to actually play the game. I do use cheat codes in shooter type games occasionally. That's because I want to play parts of the game that my skills don't let me reach. There really aren't many skills needed in this game. It's mostly just managing resources. If I unlocked unlimited everything then there wouldn't be a reason to play.

The higher the level of your worker, the faster they mine gold. So upgrading to minotaurs and savants will speed things up. Also, placing as many obelisks of Aswan near the mines will also speed things up. Regular obelisks will also work, but they take up a building allotment. Crystalisks are good, too. Doing research and upgrading to borehole mines will speed things up and also make the mines unlimited. Obelisks of Aswan also increase PD production in temples and DNA in houses. They also will help refill an oasis more quickly.

I'm glad you got it worked out. Make sure you do the research so you can upgrade your mines. I haven't created a mine in a long time but if I remember the process is to click on the build menu, click on the mine tab. One of your mineral veins should turn green. When you click it, there should be some sort of confirmation query. You can move your mine before you confirm. I see in the image that you have an upgrade symbol. Click on it and it will tell you what you need in order to upgrade to a hydraulic mine.

You should be able to turn your mineral veins into mines to provide you with more gold. Level 1 and 2 mines run out of gold. However, depleted mines can be reactivated by upgrading them. You really need more farms and houses. At the beginning stages of the game it is important to build up your workforce. You need them to man the mines and to provide DNA for research. To answer your question: No, it is not a bug. Depleted mines give out very small quantities of gold. If you need to pull workers out of the quarries for a little while to man the mines and increase your gold supply then do it. Your pyramid construction will be on hold, but you'll be able to buy the types of resources to help grow your infrastructure and speed up your workforce. If you haven't done it yet, turn all of your mineral veins into mines. Eventually you will do enough research to be able to upgrade your depleted hydraulic mine into a borehole mine which is unlimited. Good luck!

That's basically what I did a while back. The problem is that once you finish the second pyramid there isn't much to do. I've been waiting around for almost a year. Some of the other players have been waiting for more than a year. Now I just collect resources a few times a day and wait. You will be able to upgrade to giants and mega temples and mega houses at some point. I have found that DNA and xenon are the 2 resources I used the most. PD was never too hard to collect. I have something like 29 million, I think.

You might have reach a certain level to trigger the next set. It's been a while since I was at your spot in the game. Anyways, there should be several missions after crop circles. There should be at least 4 more research projects and a few new building types to construct. If you post a screen shot of your game it would help me figure out where you are in the game.

It allows for quicker recycling of the crop circles. Normally an oasis takes from 15-45 minutes to refill, even with obelisks to speed things up. With a water processing plant the refill is pretty much instantaneous. Crop circles can only be collected after the oasis refills. If you haven't done crop circles yet they are important because they allow for the collection of large amounts of xenon which is very important in the later stages of the game.
