  When you’re in Queen Marie’s storybook in the bottom right hand corner is a blue button of a person. That’s the encounters section. Each encounter gives different gifts. You might have to use more energy to get to Bohmer but when you do one of the prices available is from him.

  I don’t know exactly what choice gets you to the Clash with the Citizens. I do know that you have to have the people of France dislike Queen Marie for this to occur, im assuming that it’s an accumulation of previous choices weighing the people’s decision to either Rejoyce or cause a Clash.
