Overdecorating w/too many low prestige decorations like those from the Help Wanted - they consume land quickly. The HW duplicates are to be sold for their coins - saved up for buying expensive decorations. As much work that is involved in opening new land could be better spent replaying scenes to accumulate coins to stay ahead in buying enough scenes to get the number of stars needed to open the next plot of land. It's alot of work, but far less frustrating & much more rewarding - compasses come faster ...

Is there a set flower progression listed somewhere? I know within chapters (5 levels) you can see the numbers of flowers needed to unlock the next level but I can’t see pass the current chapter I’m currently playing. The number of flowers I need always seem to change between levels, and not always in increasing increments. Some levels I only need 30 flowers to advance and some I need over 400, then back to 40 or 50, all within the same chapter. And I’m calculating my banked flowers so this is not the reason for the up and down numbers. I’m currently on level 49 in chapter 9. I needed 2 flowers to open level 50. Instead of buying a path or fence, I waited for a 500 flower prestige and it only open level 50 (one level) and I still need 133 more to open the next! I still think I’m relatively early in the game. But if I have to collect 500+ flowers to move one level, then I’m quitting this game.

Sorry, that came out so small. Similarly, here's a list of items with prestige >500 which are good to save up for.

Any new decorations coming? I finally leveled up enough to get the poppy patch...It’s beautiful, but I was disappointed that it was only worth 30 prestige (flowers).

Hi Mary, I concur with Ms. Tearius in putting low prestige items into storage to make room for higher prestige items. Regarding compasses, I seem to get them most often when I complete a scene investigation or a chapter and open a star box, but occasionally I will receive one during play. Good luck, I hope you get your compasses soon!

Have you tried putting a few of the low prestige items into storage to give you a little space to put a high prestige item? It'll take down your flowers temporarily, but should be bring you back up when your high prestige item matures.

Another suggestion: An alternative to putting redundant or small but high-prestige items, or other items that don’t quite fit in your landscape design, is to hide them behind buildings and trees.

I agree it is a really good game. I just unlocked the train car and sold off a few station platforms for half of what I paid for them, to buy a train car. But even after I get the flowers from the train car, along with the ones I will get after the pool house and farmer’s market upgrades in 2 days, I will still be unable to progress in the game. Funny thing is, I now have more than enough compasses to expand one plot and half of another, but I can’t, because I cannot play new chapters. I replayed some old scenes, which is all I can do at this point, but I’m not sure I’m interested in doing that for days just to get enough coins to buy high prestige items that take yet more days before I can collect on them. So I’m not sure, at this point, if I’m going to continue the game. I’m starting to lose interest. I do appreciate the conversation and your suggestions, though. Thank you.

To let you know what you might expect down the line, in my most progressive game, I am currently at level 236. I purchase train cars for 24,000 coins, which provide 800 flowers each (that's 400 flowers per square). I currently have 8 of them. This allows me to have low-prestige items on the rest of my island, and I have plenty of space left over. It takes days of re-playing same scenes to accumulate that many coins. But patience pays off.

+PrtScn. The file is saved to the Screenshots folder in your Pictures folder. You can also us the Snipping Tool which is available in all versions of Windows Vista, 7, and 8 except the Starter and Basic editions.
