  I didn' say sue them, but you can report this matter to app store. Especially if you have spent money on a app which are from app store and it's them fault for not have common function as "forgot password" function either did they say possibility to lose your password when they do their maintance so that you could prepare. So you have full rights to report this matter to app store. You have atleast possibility to get money back and the ninja hayate will probally take you more seriously. But this is ONLY if you have did your part of job and haven't get contacted at all after few days.
