  Hi! You can only participate if there is a "help" symbol on a Chef's profile which can be seen in the market. The symbol is an exclamation point on the left and hand on the right. You just need to click the item to buy, once you're on chef's reataurant click cancel (since you will not buy any item) then follow the yellow arrow which will lead you to an event or to the gravespine. I hope that i was able to help.

  They have to ask for help. If they don't have the sign with the exclamation point and a hand, you cannot help them. Sorry.

  I wish there was an easier way to find people that need help. I also wish you can add friends and then come back and help them later.

  It's making it impossible to upgrade from Chef De Cuisine and I have yet to see anyone with a higher rank.

  Look in the section where you go to buy products from other players. There you'll see some players have a little hand and exclamation mark in a box/speech bubble over their product (but not every time). To help them, click on their product (this won't purchase what they're selling don't worry) and then when their restaurant loads on your screen, look at their vineyard or chill out section. Click on the hand/exclamation mark icon to see what they want help with and you can then either give them food or one of your garden hoes. :)

  When I go to the market and see the exclamation mark and hand symbol next to someone's name, how can I click on that to help them without clicking to actually but the goods they have for sale if I don't need it? Thanks! Just started playing a couple of days ago and still trying to figure out some things in the game.

  So it means that you need help from other players to remove the dry plants because you don't have a plow. The way you can do it is to sell something in the world market and other players can see the item including that you need help with something (the exclamation mark and hand symbol will show up next to the item you're selling). If they are generous enough, they will help you get rid of it.
